| Izumi Komukai / vikkino Born in Tokyo in 1963.
Worked at the company of the environment and product design. Started i2 design associates with a friend in 1997. Worked for architecture, interior, and graphic design. Started producing bikes with the theme "Making bikes which I want to ride." in 2000. In 2001, the first prototype of Vikkino-R got a Fun-ride prize at Handmade Bicycle Show (organized by Bicycle Culture Center) and planed to manufacture and commercialize. Vikkino project is now in progress with Koji Kikumoto (Kikumoto Koubou). They made friends in cycling. Vikki is the dialect of a frog that is used in countryside in Japan.  http://www.vikkino.com |
